Is BYD Ethical?
BYD is a Chinese car and manufacturing company which is the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles and has ties to the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese Military [1][2], and has utilised forced Uyghur labour [1], "slave-like" working conditions [3][4] and human-trafficked workers [5]. BYD has tried to silence those who criticise them using legal action [6][7], and its factories have polluted their surroundings and caused illnesses in local children [8][9][10].
